A Bit of Renaissance Gilli

I am just so happy today, all is good in the East Coast with the earthquake and then the hurricane. My kids came home on the day the earthquake shook from their summer vacation and it was just so wonderful to see them, luckily they were in the car and didn't feel a thing.

I am also just a bit excited today, this is my first challenge for House of Gilli, hope you will join in, the challenge is to create an easel card with flowers.

Giddy UP Cowgirl

We have a wonderful new challenge for you over at the House of Gilli, it's a sketch challenge.

Party Favors

I am a card gal, but every so often I love to mix it up and have something different to show. So for the Through the Craftroom Door Challenge #8 - Punches, Punches, Punches I decided to do some party favor boxes. We are also having a DT call, you can find all the info here.

Glitterbabe's Tuesday

Words are failing me at this moment and I found a poem that express what I would love to say to my dearest friend Stef.

I can't pretend I know what you are going through
And it would be so easy to be glib
But I am sure you know that I mean it when I say,
I'm always thinking of you.
I am here any time you need me
If you need a shoulder to cry on
Or someone to hug or hold you close
Maybe just to run an errand or help in any other way.
Whatever it may be, please don't think no-one cares
And, who knows, one day I may need you
So please let me show you how much you mean
And make it easier for me.

I created my own background using Tim Holtz distress inks (Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender and Old Paper) and heat embossed an Hero Arts Stamp to it (Old Writhing)

 

Friendships

The challenge this time around at Color Me Creative Classroom is all about "Friendships" and coloring your embellishments with your Copics. Since I have been crafting I have met some extremely wonderful people and very proud and blessed to call a few, my friends and a few more, my family. This wonderful paradise image Palm Tree is from Glitterbabe's Digi, this so reminds me of where I was born (Jamaica) and I so miss the palm trees, blue skies and blue waters.
